We are currently looking for an experienced and dynamic Accounting Manager to join our team in Blue Ash, Ohio.
JOB SUMMARY
The Accounting Manager leads our financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial planning. This role oversees the accounting team, managing budgets, and providing data-driven insights to support business decisions.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure financial accuracy.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports.
- Develop and manage annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with corporate tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Supervise accounts payable and receivable functions, including staff.
- Set up and ensure compliance with new local and state tax jurisdictions, including payroll taxes
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger.
- Implement and monitor internal controls and audit processes.
- Provide financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with external auditors for financial audits.
- Optimize systems for financial reporting and efficiency.
- Using a Lean/Six Sigma mindset & process, streamline and improve the accounting department as it functions within CMS.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance OR equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in construction or related industry
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Experience with general ledger management and compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to rapidly learn and efficiently utilize ERP systems, including integrations with other enterprise systems
- Preferred experience with Deltek Computer Ease
- Proficiency in accounts payable/receivable processes.
- Familiarity with tax regulations and audit procedures including payroll taxes
- Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
