JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for creating/assisting with detailed piping isometric and orthographic drawings for all types of industrial projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create, modify, and maintain detailed piping drawings and 3D models for fabrication using AutoCAD Plant 3D.
- Utilize FARO scanning technology to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Provide a bill of materials.
- Collaborate closely with engineers and project managers to understand project specifications and requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of Plant3D specs and catalogs using the Spec Editor.
- Maintain organized project files, documentation and ensure all revisions are accurately tracked.
- Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and best practices related to piping systems.
REQUIRED JOB SKILLS
- Associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree or relevant certification in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, Construction Management or a related field. Equivalent experience may also be considered.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD software (Plant 3D, Revit or Navisworks experience is a plus).
- Knowledge of piping systems, mechanical design principles, and relevant codes and standards is helpful but not required.
- Experience reading and interpreting construction documents.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
