Project Manager

JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for evaluating, planning, managing and executing industrial construction projects.
Communicating with internal support departments, representing CMS to the client or project sponsor, and ensuring safety, quality
and profitability throughout project life cycles are keys to the success of this position.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Project management and estimating for Concept to Completion/Design-Build, Plan & Spec or T&M type construction projects.
• Understand all aspects of a project to successfully estimate, plan and execute the project.
• Represent the CMS brand and values to our clients and partners.
• Communicate and Collaborate with all stake holders.
• Maintain a good working relationship with our Client’s and Partners.
• Ensure projects are executed per the proposal, scope of work, and remain on-time, on-budget and profitable.
• Ensure that all projects are completed correctly with the highest level of quality.
• Ensure that all projects are completed safely.
• Possess self-motivated and self-management skills and the ability to work with limited supervision.
• Possess confidence, ambitiousness, drive, common sense and decisiveness.

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings (plan sets, blueprints, structural, P&ID, isometrics, elevations). Ability to create take-offs from drawings and project documents.
• Possess advanced knowledge and understanding of the industrial construction trade.
• Ability to read and understand general construction documents.
• Ability to create ISO’s, P&ID’s, and other hand sketches to communicate project needs to project partners and support departments.
• Ability to lead and motivate others. Must possess a positive attitude.
• Ability to work under pressure during challenging times.
• Ability to manage multiple projects at a time. Willing to seek help when needed.
• Excellent organizational, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of general safety rules regarding LOTO, confined space, scaffolding, trenching, excavation, and fall protection.
• Knowledge and understanding of construction codes, inspection process and licensing requirements.
• Attending trade-related training and CEU’s as required and beneficial for employee development.
• Seek advice or consultation from supervisor, senior management and support departments when critical problems are identified with a project or assignment.

 EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• 5+ years of estimating and managing Industrial construction projects.
• Preferred college or university degree or trade school in a construction/related field.
• OSHA 10 safety training required. OSHA 30 safety training preferred.
• Some prior field experience in Industrial Construction field preferred.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license and clean (insurable) driving record.
