We started out with five guys and a big dream. This is the story we want people to know about CMS.
It was late in the 90s. The five of us worked together at the time, and we vowed to build a business together that was about way more than just money. We wanted and needed to build a company that was not only going to last, but would make a lasting name for itself. A place so extraordinary that employees would be begging to work there. An organization that went way beyond the business clichés of “adding value” to our clients. We wanted a visionary team that could combine wise counsel with transformative solutions. A group that would strive to give back to the community because it was the right thing to do. These are all things we wanted people to know about CMS.
In 1999, we all decided to take our 150 years of combined experience and to finally build the dream together. We financed our homes, and we mapped out the blueprint for what we thought was the complete company – the one that we had always wanted to work for.
